On Christmas Day, the restaurant offers lunch with a twist—a surprise visit from Santa! Children will surely love to say hello to the beloved holiday figure.
My favourite dish here during the holidays is the Beef Wellington. The beef is always juicy and tender, wrapped in golden and flaky pastry. With the addition of the mushroom pâté, there’s an earthy flavour that goes well with the meat.

I love their pancakes because of their Instagrammable look. For $15, I get a fluffy, light, and slightly sweet pancake with fresh berries on top. The maple syrup and a dollop of cream tie it all together, making it a comforting choice for a holiday brunch.

Mister Sunshine’s is a retro restaurant with mismatched kitchen tables, chairs, and wall art. But once Christmas starts, it turns into a cozy spot. Classic old-school Christmas tunes play, and the tables are adorned with festive tablecloths.
The Christmas brunch menu is filled with wholesome food like house-made loaves, chorizo, Barossa smoked ham, and smashed avocado. Treats like gingerbread cookies, Christmas pies, and fruitcakes are also available.
Every Christmas, I don’t miss their chorizo. It has that perfect crisp on the outside, but it’s still tender on the inside. The flavour is rich and smoky, making it a hearty brunch meal before going your way.
Tip: Pair your chorizo or any other brunch meal with their ethical coffee. Its bold, robust flavour adds an energy boost to your hearty brunch dish.

Plus, there’s an all-inclusive Christmas lunch package for $250. For three hours, you’ll enjoy a five-course tasting menu that includes holiday favourites such as salads, smoked duck, and sweets.
I dined here with my family one Christmas, and I especially enjoyed the riverine beef fillet with truffled mushroom pie. The fillet was tender and had a melt-in-your-mouth feel, while the pie complemented it with its earthy and savoury flavour. I’ll definitely try it again next holiday!

You’re in for some Christmas-inspired dishes like the French toast croissant with cinnamon apple crème anglaise. There’s also an extensive collection of Penfolds wines to go with your meal.
My favourite is the smoked trout rillette with house-made crumpet and poached eggs. The smoky trout is beautifully balanced with the rich, tangy rillette. The soft, runny poached eggs bring it all together—a complete and satisfying brunch option.
Tip: Pair the smoked trout rillette with house-made crumpet and poached eggs with Penfolds Yattarna Sauvignon Blanc. The zesty citrus and herbaceous notes go well with the smokiness and creaminess of the dish.

La Boca Bar and Grill brings authentic Argentinian cuisine during the holidays, adding a festive vibe to its rustic charm.
Their traditional Argentinian dishes get a festive twist to celebrate the season. For instance, the empanadas are stuffed with smoked ham—their take on the Christmas ham present on dinner tables.
There’s also a dulce de leche pancake that’s drizzled with festive sprinkles!
The asado plate priced at $110 is my go-to dish here during the holidays. The variety of slow-cooked pork belly, lamb, and beef is tender and smoky. Instead of the usual chimichurri sauce, you’ll get accompaniments like roasted vegetables, traditional corn and pumpkin cake, and Argentinian desserts.

For a boozy brunch during the holidays, Bottega Bandto is a great spot. Its two-course share-style menu is ideal for a family get-together or catching up with some mates.
Visit on a Sunday and you’ll enjoy a bottomless brunch with a variety of alcoholic beverages!
Its Italian-inspired menu gets a festive twist, featuring a mix of traditional and festive dishes. Indulge in limited-time dishes like prawn cocktail sando (fresh prawns, lettuce, and a tangy sauce all rolled in soft bread).
I visited here during a get-together with my mates, and I loved their birria beef toasty. It has savoury beef and gooey pizza cheese, and the pickled jalapeño salsa added just the right amount of heat. It’s a great meal, especially for a chilly day.
Tip: Don’t miss out on the iced matcha raspberry pastry. This seasonal treat has an earthy, slightly bitter flavour from the matcha and a sweet and tart flavour from the raspberries.
