Escape the hustle of city life with a trip to the Fleurieu Peninsula. Just an hour’s drive from Adelaide, you’ll find stunning beaches, wineries, and charming towns waiting to be explored.
I camped at Deep Creek National Park for just $17 a night. I took on the Deep Creek Circuit Hike, a four-hour trail that led me to the breathtaking Deep Creek Waterfall. The rugged terrain and steep climbs were challenging, but the incredible views made it all worthwhile.
Reaching the waterfall felt like a reward. Surrounded by dense native vegetation and cascading down rocky cliffs, it was a stunning sight. Spotting a few kangaroos along the way added to the experience, making the effort truly memorable.
Tip: Reach the waterfalls within two hours by taking the Trig Campground route, which is only 4 kilometres from the waterfall.
Barossa Valley

After a peaceful night at Bundaleer, don’t miss the famous Riesling Trail. It’s a 33-kilometre stretch of scenic vineyards and countryside. Bring your bike for the full experience. It’s an unforgettable ride through one of South Australia’s most picturesque regions!
Tip: For a bit of history, visit the Sevenhill Cellars where you’ll find yourself exploring the oldest winery in the Clare Valley.

For just $20, I hopped on a paddle steamer cruise aboard the PS Oscar W.
